Safari to Abode of Asiatic Lion starts with Heritage tour of Delhi & then passes to Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary; various migratory birds can be seen here through boat safari in the lake. Enjoy desert & its fauna, and roaming wild ass near Dasada. This sanctuary was developed to protect wild ass. Then, we come to abode of Asiatic lion in Gir. The nature, flora of this region, & variety of birds & animals will mesmerize you. The thrill of seeing Asiatic lion in natural habitat is amazing. Then arrive in the lovely island city of Diu with its charming beaches & Portuguese era churches & forts.

Day 01 :Arrive in Delhi |

After arriving in Delhi, you will be greeted & received by our tour guide, who will assists and escort you to a waiting coach/cab and get you checked in to your decided hotel.
After lunch, we will embark on visit to Delhi’s monuments starting with Qutub Minar followed by Lotus temple & Akshardham.
Overnight stay will be in hotel at Delhi. |

02 : Delhi sightseeing |

After breakfast, we will visit the magnificent Humayun's Tomb, then visit India Gate, The President House, & Parliament house. After lunch, we will visit Rajghat to see the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, drive straight to Old Delhi, to experience a rickshaw ride thru the old bazaars of Dariba Kalan & Chandani Chowk. Evening is at Red Fort where beside the interiors of the fort, a 'light and sound show', is very entertaining.

03 : Delhi – Ahmedabad (by flight) (1 hr 25 min) –Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary (70 km, 2 hr) |

In morning, drive to IGI Airport and board flight to Ahmedabad. On arrival, transfer & check in at hotel. After relax for a while, leave for a safari to Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary.
Ride on small boats sailing through the waters of this seasonal lake with binoculars. Our guide will accompany you during trip. Enjoy multifarious sights and sounds of the large variety of birds. Notice the dissonance of sound as each of the birds jostle for nesting and feeding space. The flamingos dexterously use their long beaks and legs to dig prod the mud and search for food. The Rosy Pelicans, the White Storks, the Brahminy Ducks, the Herons are all very impressive. Enjoy the silhouette of various birds against the backdrop of the setting sun. Return back to Ahmedabad for overnight.
Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary includes a large lake with an area of about 123 sq km and its surrounding marshes. With the onset of autumn just after the end of the monsoon season, a large number of birds start coming to the Sanctuary. Their sojourn lasts throughout the winter and the spring season. |

04 : Ahmedabad –Wild Ass Wildlife Sanctuary, Dasada (90 km, 4 hrs) |

Today, drive to Dasada via Viramgam. On arrival, get greeted by our tour cooperator at Rann Riders’ Camp. Check in and take some rest. After lunch, we set out for safari in the Little Rann of Kutchh. During safari, you can spot wild ass roaming around marshes in the Rann, and nearby lakes like Nawa Talao and Vanod Saran, attract huge flocks of water birds. Flamingoes, pelicans, cranes, storks, ducks etc can be seen in large numbers.
Little Rann of Kutchh is a desert wildlife sanctuary and a home to other endangered wildlife like the wolf, Indian and desert foxes, Indian gazelle, McQueen's bustard, etc. See the beautiful sunset at Bajana Lake, where flamingos, pelicans, demoiselle and common cranes, and other magnificent birds gather in numbers beyond comprehension. Enjoy rural cuisines in the dinner and overnight at camp. |

05 : Dasada - Gir Lion Sanctuary (350 km, 9 hrs) |

Today, we will drive to Gir Sanctuary via Rajkot. Late afternoon, we will arrive at Gir. Check in at the Gir Birding Lodge. Enjoy the rest of day at leisure strolling around lodge soaking wilderness of this forest. |

06 : Gir Lion Sanctuary |

In morning, we set out for safari of Gir, the last abode of the Asiatic lion and has a thriving population of panther, sambar, chital (spotted deer), nilgais (blue bull antelope) and wild boar. Gir is also one of the major habitats of chowsinghas (the world's only four-horned antelope) and chinkara (Indian gazelle) along the game drive trails. Many varieties of birds could be seen here. After evening safari, we will return to Gir Birding Lodge for overnight stay. |

07: Gir National Park & Wildlife Sanctuary |

Today, we will drive to Sasan to visit the crocodile breeding farm. In afternoon drives in the Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary to spot the Asiatic lion. Enjoy seeing of wildlife during drive and snapping of the wilderness of this region. Overnight stay will be at Gir Birding Lodge. |

08: Gir National Park & Wildlife Sanctuary |

Today, enjoy morning nature and bird walks in jungle trail with our guide and know more about flora & fauna. Then drives in the Gir forests to look for the two big cats and also get the pleasure of watching other wildlife. Visit Devaliya (enclosed area for lions) in afternoon. Overnight stay will be at Gir Birding Lodge. |

09: Gir – Diu |

Today, drive to Diu via Kodinar. Diu is a beautiful island. On arrival, check in at hotel near beach. After relax for a while, we will start sightseeing. We will visit beautiful churches & Diu Fort of Portuguese architecture. Enjoy strolling at beach & view of sunset. Overnight stay will be in a hotel at Diu. |

Day 10 : Diu – Mumbai (via flight) (1 hr 35 min)- Onward Destination |

Today in afternoon, transfer to Diu airport to board flight to Mumbai. Arrive in Mumbai by late evening. You can catch flight to onward destination from Mumbai. |
